This has probably been discussed but I couldn't find it if it was. Anybody know what the thread is on an A833OD speedometer cable/trans? My truck does not have a speedo, and I want to make sure when I upgrade to a programmable speedo I get a sender that will screw on properly to the trans. |

You can get an electronic sender that fits directly. My '96 Dakota had one. I know other Dodge trucks use them too. I'd get one from a Pick-N-Pull so you get the gear along with the sender. |

If you find your pick apart pulls the trannies and trashes the sender or won't allow you to pull that part...you can order An Autometer 5291 or a Summit G-2887-1 for the 50-60 buck range.Because I'm running a combination on the Hpak Duster that Mopar never intended (4.56 rear gears and 205/70R14 tires), it became necessary to use the Autometer 5291-threading is something like 7/8-18... I ran it to a Autometer digital programmable speedo (use whatever speedo gear is handy in your tranny...just have to drive a couple miles, set the program button and you're golden)... -D.Idiot |
