Got some buckets for 20 bux off of craigslist that fit perfect in the 69 Dart,but they sit a little too low. Needs to come up one inch in front and two inches in back,any suggestions? I dont have a welder,so I am looking for a spacer type of deal. I have heard of people using skateboard wheels,what do you think of that?

Weld a couple of metal spacers to the mounting bracket.

Thanks for the tip,but if you read my post it states that I do not have a welder,and I also do not have any welding skills to boot.

I have used shock mounts before, ie the mounting stud type things for rear shocks. I believe they were from a GM A body, as I have a Pontiac T-37 (Lemans/Tempest), and I had a couple spares. I have also seen used 1/2" "coupling nuts" used, as standoffs. They are about 1.5" long, just use a short bolt on either end.

I might also sugest some 1" and 2 " square tube, just cut to length and drill holes to fit. Also use fender washers to help spread the load out on the floor pan, so they won't pull through.

The Ford is slant powered with a Offy/4 barrel, the other is the motor in the 63 Dart. Both cars have old paint (look like crap), the Fords best is 15.3's and the Darts best is 14.9's in the 1/4.
