I have my dist vac line connect to front and back small tubes..is this OK ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Eek! No, this is not OK. Hook up the vacuum hoses correctly. Carburetor operation and repair manuals and links to training movies and carb repair/modification threads are posted here for free download. |

thanks those sites help me ID our carb it's a late model holley 2280 they all can be capped except the right/passenger's side that goes to the adv on the dist. and the rear large one that is for the PVC all other vac lines are for charcoal canister/erg vac switch/air cleaner flap. http://ramchargercentral.com/archive.php?topic=117174.0 |

Out of curiosity, how does this late model 2280 compare to the earlier Carter BBDs? As far as people's opinions who have used both? |

My 2280 is great so far... No hesitations, smooth idle, plenty of power when mashing the pedal. We'll see how the real cold starts are in October/November, but works great now. Having no bowl vent does make for a few extra cranks during a hot start, after sitting for 10 minutes or so. I guess the fuel boils in the bowl. |
