i am thinking about turboing my dart and was wondering what I have in mind is a good idea or not. I have a 83 truck engine that seems to run good and doesnt smoke. I was thinking of having a cam reground by Oregon, have like five thousands taken of the head just to true it up and a new head gasket and head bolts. Is there any 2BBL carbs that would work with boost? I was thinking about a turbo off a supra as I can find them halfway easy and cheap. How would that work? I just want to run like 5-10 psi and play on the street and friday night street fights. |

bigslant6fan has used a BBD on his turbo setup previously. Holley 500 2bbl would probably work well too. Sounds like fun. A stock Buick GN turbo would be a good place to start too. Lou |

My turbo plans would include a clifford 4bbl intake with the Holley 500 2bbl on top set up for boost, and a stock GN turbo with one of those cheap IC kits from ebay. I dont think you would NEED an IC for 5-10 lbs,but it will help. |

What would the 4bbl intake give me over a 2bbl intake? I was thinking why spend the extra money for a 4bbl intake if i was going to run a 2 bbl on it.

I assume you mean over the cast iron super six intake?! Lightweight ,larger plenum area, and larger runners. |

If i did find a clifford for a reasonable price i would just run a 600 holley 4bbl |

Whatever works for you. I would stick with the 2bbl for ease of tuning, but thats me. |
