Im trying to figure out what horn/horns I need for my 69,the wiring is there and the horn is missing. On the broadcast sheet it is marked 1 under dual horns. Anyone know what that means, and what kind of horn I need to buy?

How loudly do you want to be able to honk? Serious question! There are all kinds of options.

How many green wires end in 1/4" female spade connectors at the horn location? One or two?

Okeh, so your car was originally equipped with dual horns. There are two options if you want louder-than-original horns: you can get air horns, which have a little motorised compressor and two or three trumpets and sound cutesy (high pitched tootle I've always thought was dumb) or bigger electric horns which is the type I prefer. The Fiamm or other-brand "blaster" horns you can find at the parts store are crummy. I like Bosch 0 320 223 021 and 0 320 223 022, harmonized 300/375 Hz tones, 60w apiece, very very loud.

If you want OMFG-loud and have cash to burn, see www.hornblasters.com

Or you can be like me and get some 26" stuter tone firetruck air horns. But that would be in the "if you have money to blow" category but my dad got them for me so I'm not complaining. Haven't gotten them on yet. But I've sounded one off and it scared me eventhough I was expecting it. So I think my two will be louder than the horns from hell, and no One will ever cut me off again
