I am finally getting back to my '66 d-200 project, so I'll probable have lots of questions - thanks in advance for the help (and patience!).

My current question is this: the single barrel carburetor I got has no stud to mount an air cleaner. The carb it replaced did not have a stud either. I have looked around the parts stores and have not seen an air cleaner housing that looks like it will fit this carb. Is there an adapter kit of some kind that I should be looking for? Thanks!

Your truck didn't come with a stud-mount paper-element air cleaner. It came with a clamp-mount oil-bath air cleaner. That's the only kind that will fit the carb on the truck. If the air cleaner didn't come with the truck, you'll need to scrounge around for a used one. It looks like this (the one pictured is on a Canadian-built truck, hence the decal):

If you want to convert to a passenger car style paper element air cleaner, you would need parts from a passenger car carburetor -- which parts you'd need would depend on whether you have the Carter or the Holley carburetor.

(where did you get the current carb?)

I honestly don't remember exactly where I got the carb. I ordered it from a guy in California a few years back, because the original carburetor was not rebuildable.

Thanks for the tip on the oil-bath filter - I'll look around.
