Hey everyone Iv got a 75 dodge dart swinger with some slop in the steering about 2 ins per side. I installed all new steering pit man arm idler arm tie rod ends upper ball joints and control arm bushing's. I got an alignment and it still got to much play in the wheel to not feel like I'm all over the road. Would adjusting the worm-sector adjustment screw help tight up the steering a bit? And if so how would I go about making this adjustment? Thanks for all your help guys! -R-

See here. Also inspect the steering shaft-to-box coupler for slop.

Hey Dan the first part you talk about adjusting I have no idea what or where that is! It seems easy enough but is there any picture or a video on how to complete this first part? I want to make sure I do it right. Thanks -R-

There are good pics in the factory service manual, which you really ought to have. Beyond that...maybe someone on the board has (or can make) some photos?

Ya I have two serves manuals but don't see were it tells to adjust the first thing you said that should be done. It really only goes through the second part witch even then I'm not so sure where to feel the slack just disappear from. This seems like it should be so easy to adjust but I'm just having a hard time not seeing it first hand I guess. How much play in the wheel is normal and how tight should the wheel be when turning while driving? Thanks Dan sorry I'm having trouble understanding your help on this!
