Hello, I am installing a brand new rocker shaft and brand new rocker arms on a 1968 Dart /6. I was checking the oil passage that is built into the rockers, from the outside toward the center to make sure they were clear and not plugged.
Much to my suprise, the wire I used does not poke out at the center where the sleeve/bushing is, but appears to stop at that area.
The wire I am using is about .020".

Should the wire pass all the way through and stick out into the center of the rocker?
Thanks, Glen

No, the hole in the bushing is not in line with the passages.
The best way to check for clear passages is with a can of spray carb cleaner.
