Okay, so I'm contemplating going to a two barrel, but I was wondering which one yielded a better gas mileage for you? I'm currently getting 18 mpg best. I was wondering if I drove the car with a two barrel the same way as I drove the 1 barrel would I see better or worse gas mileage? Right now pretty much all my driving is winding, hilly country highway. Thanks, Seth |

Tuning and driving style will have much more effect than 1bbl vs. 2bbl. Lou |

Same motor I got better mileage (sometimes) with a BBD over a BBS. I think the BBD spends more time in a more efficient range than the BBS. The sometimes part .........WOT with the BBD will get worse mileage. For better mileage in hills and curves focus on advance curve. |

I got better mileage with a bbd than with the stock 1bl. I was nearly always driving for mileage. Certain models of BBD have more tunability with adjustable metering rods. I would look for one of those. The most common complaint with the BBD is worn throttle shaft bushings. Sam |
