i am replacing the 66 slant in my 41 plymouth with a later (78 ) engine that i had built for the car. getting ready to drop it in and am finding a extra unneeded hole (port) in the head? it it at the very rear just behind #6 exhaust port. it doesn't appear to go into the water jacket, as i blew air into it, and it seems to be dead end. just wondering where this port goes to in the newer head. it goes in quite a ways.
thanks in advance

It is for the air injection. You can just put a plate over it with some RTV sealant and be done with it.

thanks for the reply.
great, was thinking that it had something to do with emissions, but didn't know exactly what.
thanks again
