I have installed a set of the sub-par DAE/Anchor/Westar engine mounts. They seem to be falling apart already (less than 6 months). The down side is that I pressed the insert out of my original mounts. I thought that I would try to press in some of the crappy inserts...before I knew they were crap!
Anyway, I want to pickup a set of the polybushings to replace the worn out rubber set. What I would like to know is have the others on here, that have used the poly bushings, been installing the bushings in the aftermarket mounts?

If not, does anyone have a set of worn out mounts that they would like to get rid of?!?

Thanks for the help,
Tom

Don't know. Have you got photos of the mounts?

I am attempting to attach a picture of the original mount (after removed from the car and with the sleeve pressed out...).
I did pop the insert into the whole for the pic.

Put the poly bushings in your original mounts. They should fit in the aftermarket mounts as well. Can't imagine why not.

My concern on the originals is that I pressed out the metal insert (its just sitting in the hole in the picture...not secure) and the aftermarket ones look like the inserts are actually loose enough to vibrate under load (between the metal spool and the metal insert shell).

I will probably clean out the rubber in the after markets and try them out. But, my goal will be to find some worn out originals (that haven't had the metal insert pressed out) and use them as the donor.

Thanks for your superfast responses,
Tom
