What's the best polish for a chrome bumper? I pulled all the bumperstickers off the Dart and want to get the rest of the adhesive and billions of little scuff marks out if possible. |

Wenol and Simichrome are not the cheapest, but both work wonders on light-to-moderate oxydation (but obviously not heavy pitting which has penetrated all the way through the plating to metal). If the "scuff marks" (scratches?) are deep, you may have to start with a more aggressive buffing compound and then finish up with the above. http://www.wenolusa.com/ http://www.autofanatics.com/autofanatic ... hrome.html You can do your own google search to find the cheapest online price, but the above links will introduce you to the products and give you a visual on the label appearance. Good luck. ---Red |

Can you buy 'em in auto or hardware stores? |

Pretty much hit or miss on finding them at auto parts stores, I would think it more likely at independents rather than chain stores. I first found Semichrome years ago at a motorcycle shop back when I was ridin'. Try a Harley shop? Another place I've seen Wenol is at antique and high-tone furniture stores...they use it to polish brass hardware on cabinetry and such. ---Red |

I use Flitz on almost everything that needs polishing. It's incredible. http://www.flitz.com/ Gilly ![]() |
