Coming up shortly I will be removing the engine/trans from the Piggie car. IF any of you guys w/o a car want it and have a motor/trans/rear, I will donate the body to you and even help you put it together.

Car is a '66 Valiant 2 door post. It has 10" LBP drum brakes on the front, subframes tied, rear springs moved in and set up for Cal-Tracs. Car has a clear IL title.

It will have the radiator, trans cooler, trunk mount battery kit, and driveshaft for a 904/8.75 setup.

Body is nowhere near "cherry", but it is a good starter car.

I can make you a deal on most everything to complete it except converter. (I do not have a spare)

So here ya go guys, a decent chance to go Slant racing pretty cheaply. :D

That's a Deal!!!

Too bad I already have a project racer going.

Piggie is nicer than Ruster!

Seriously: this is a great place to start slant racing. Drop in a stock beater slant/904.....and go from there.

Red cars are faster.........

I have a shortblock and probably a decent head that could get someone started for cheap. Let's see how many of these posers are actually scared of their own shadows...

Wayne, I'm on vacation the week after Thanksgiving. If the weather is decent we can get you a good start anyway.

Lou may be filling your race car and tow truck up next year.

You just gotta love this Forum! :D

I would do my best to drive up to Indy to lend a hand if this comes together. Might be able to help out with some parts as well.

I think Wayne has several presumably running engines/trannys. The quickest way would be to simply stab a combo that's already together in there and hook it up.

Mid 20's in the 1/4 mile is a fine place to start and is where most of us started. THEN the upgrades can begin!

If this actually comes together and gets Wayne (and his kids...? ) on a race track, I will do everything in my power to be there to line up against him! :D

This might be the shot in the arm we BOTH need going into the winter months!

Thanks Dennis! :D :D

I smell a grudge match...

I may have to modify my "reward" to allow for the unlikely event that both Cookie and Mater show up to the same race as their first time out....

This IS pretty cool if this thing comes to fruition.

Big D, expect a PM soon as I am still at a loss for words. Once my head clears I am sure that the keyboard will have smoke rollin' off it! Thanks, Wayne.

Wayne Dude

I'll have the D-150 ready early 2012 for use as a tow vehicle, pulling around cars like valiants is what it is being set-up to do. So get it ready, you can be rocking & rolling.

Interesting, walking through the pick a part today, I found a nice frame mount tow bar set up on a 87 D-150, going back tomorrow with the tools to get it.

I am not in this for the tow vehicle gas,, just looking to see a Mater get mashed by a Cookie,,

regards
DT
