Hey All, I've assembled a ton of parts, including manifold, a Weber 32/36, pressure regulator bouchillon performance cable, Remflex gaskets, etc, and I think I'm ready to go with my Super Six conversion. Any advice for a newbie? I've PB Blasted the threads on every nut and this weekend will be my work time. Thanks! |

Make sure intake and exhaust manifolds meet together nicely, and replace any 'dodgy studs'. Oh and if possible use a torque wrench on all studs and nuts. |

THe phrase "pressure regulator" makes my beard stand on end. Many (most?) available pressure regulators for carbureted systems are unreliable at best, dangerous at worst. What exactly did you buy, and what pressure level are you planning to regulate to? |

I would certainly love to see your beard stand on end! A great Halloween signature, to be sure. It's a Holley 12-804 regulator, recommended by Weber Carbs direct. If you think it's unnecessary, I'd of course love to know. |

I have no experience with the Holley regulator—perhaps (I hope!) it is better than the Mr. Gasket and other-brand items that are mostly all the same toy-that-looks-like-a-regulator from China. Looks as if the Weber you're going to run wants to see 3.5 pounds of fuel pressure. Factory spec out of the slant-6 pump is 3.5 to 5 psi. You might want to take a look at this thread. |
