Not sure what trans you have now,but you will need to use a bell for a 833 o/d slant application because of the larger Input Bearing Retainer size on the 833 od. |

My 87 D100 has the 225/833 OD combo with a hydro clutch set up,maybe you could use the same parts?! |

If he has an NP435 you'll need to make a bracket to make it work, the bellhousing and fork is different on that guy in the 60's vs. the version used in the 70's/80's. Also the 60's bell usually has the fork and slave cylinder bolted to the passenger side of the bellhousing...the 70's Manual Fork Np435 bell and the A-833OD bell have the fork on driver side of the bellhousing. I think I have posted some pics of a few bellhousings a while back that you can do a search and see if it will work out for you. Another question to ask, is your '67 tranny supported by a crossmember or does the bellhousing have a set of "ears and rubber isolators"? -D.Idiot |

Yes my clutch fork is on the passenger side , and the trans does not have a crossmember there mounts on each side of the bell houseing |

I think you could still make it all work, but something tells me you may need to break out the mig welder and some iron to make sure everything is secured properly, especially since the A-833 would have the tailshaft tranny support. I think the '67 should have some available frame nearby to make a crossmember hook up...(The good thing is the truck would be a few hundred pounds lighter after the swap...) -D.Idiot |

Ya i have all ready looked at that ,there are already holes in the frame, probably for the auto option ,I run a header ,I wonder if the Hydraulic slave on that side would get too warm |

The stock truck setup in the 60's trucks are great at getting the firewood to your house and getting groceries...It will not win you any bonus time during the 1/4 mile two step shuffle...FYI, -D.Idiot |

Rob- I think he was talking about the hydro set up on my 87. I really like the pedal feel, its not as "jerky" as the old Z bar set up like I had on my old Dart Sport. My only beef is that its a closed system, and their is no easy way to bleed the system. Jared |

Ya I agree with Jared ,I like the feel of the hydro over the z bar , that's why I was hoping to be able too stay with my current bell housing |
