Measure the rod bearings if you have them out. Cast crank rods will be about an inch wide, forged crank rods will be 1-1/4" or so.

how i can know if my crankshaft is forged or cast... only with the year of the car or anything else? this is to buy the main and the rod bearings. another question this code of main bearings works in a slant 79... ACL 4M1419AL Clemex MS1419P Clevite MS-1419AL Fed. Mogul 5070M King MB438AM because i dismount a clevite77 main bearings from my slant and have this code MB2731AL... and i don´t find any info about this code or part... any answer will help me to find the piece and buy it quickly. thanks again. |
