Hello all,
I have an 83 b150 van with the 225 and the holley 1945 carb. I need to either rebuild the carb or replace it. Is the 1945 worth rebuilding or should I upgrade to something else? Any help would be greately appreciated. Thanks

Hello and welcome. This probably should have been posted in the "Engine" section, but I am sure that it will be moved.

The Holley 1945 is a fine carb when it is in good shape and is working correctly. Whether or not you should rebuild or replace your carb will depend on the physical condition of of the carburetor. Is the carb base worn around the throttle shaft? Are any of the body sections warped? Are you missing any pieces? Are the internal passages corroded and clogged?

If the carburetor is in physically good condition, and especially is the carburetor is the original carburetor for the van, I would recommend getting a rebuild kit and a dip tank and rebuilding it yourself. Or find a competent carb shop near you and pay them to rebuild it. Parts store "remanufactured" carbs are most likely junk.
