First off, Happy New Year!
I'm working on converting my 63 Dart to manual steering. After installing the gear box, the column shaft is too short. Do I need the manual steer column or is there an adapter to solve this problem.
Thanks, 63GT

I believe there is a longer coupler to be used for just these situations. They were available from Chrysler at one time. Don't know if they still are. Don't know the part number.

I used to have a sheet with the part numbers for the Mopar adapter, but I can't find it right now. I have one in my Duster. I bought it about 8 years ago and I have no idea if it's still available, but I think it is.

However, Firm Feel also makes one and it does not require the manual steering pot coupler like the Mopar one does. It's $125, but the Mopar one will be about the same price after you buy the pot coupler too.
