Not my item, and im not buying it. I was just wondering about the quality of this piece? I have never heard of an Avon timing set. Maybe my sister could get me one through her Avon lady  Anyone ever run one of these chains?

These were for sale a while back (around $50-60) and seemed like decent quality from reports. I've never seen one, though.

Thanks for the input fellas :D That is not a bad price for a DR timing set. I will probably stick with using JP sets,as I have always had good luck with them.

These were sold by Hughs performance, at one time. They were made by Avon, and are now discontinued.

PS: I did a group buy of Cloyes timg sets, last year. I spoke with my contact at Cloyes, while at the PRI show, and he indicated we might be able to do another deal. If any one is interested, start a new thread in the "wanted to buy" section.

Let me suggest you test fit the sprockets before you soak everything in oil - the last TRW set I got wouldn't slide onto the crank, as it was eccentric by a few mil. The TRW replacment set fit fine.

That was one of the nice things about the Cloyes sets, they were hand select fit pieces.
