As per subject. I'm bringing this into the shop next week for a rebuild.

I'm going to hoist out the engine this weekend. I'm wondering if anyone who has experience with this could lend some experience, or perhaps tips on making this as easy as possible.

Thanks!

Pulling & re-installing a SL6 on a 63 A-Body is pretty easy...
If it's your first time, take some photo and get some zip-loc baks that you can label, to ID all the different nuts & bolts.

To be honest, I tend to build or get a different engine "in-hand and do a weekend "swap-over" so I avoid having the car apart for weeks / months.

Thanks for the tips, Doc. It's a nice sign of how much I've learned from this board that I did the ziploc thing even before I saw this post. Took pictures as well, obviously. Love that phone camera!

All I've left is the motor mount and tranny bolts now. Coming together now. Tomorrow I'll do the hoisting, engine is due at the shop on Monday.

Wish me luck!
