I am measuring to get a driveshaft cut down to fit my brother's Duster. 1974 Duster, 8 1/4 rear axle, 904 transmission. The measurement I have come up with for the length of the driveshaft is 49.5 inches from the center of the rear u-joint to the center of the front u-joint.

Does that sound right?

look's like 49.9 inches. 73-76 slant six, 318, 340, 360 with 904 or 833 all use the same one. please let me know if you still need a shaft. Greg@classiccarsplus.com

Thanks, but I just had one shortened down to 49 inches. It should work for me just fine.
