Thanks to everyone that helped out with the timing post and the ignition post. I still haven't put the new voltage regulator in because I am not sure if the new one I got is an electronic or a mechanical. Is there a way to tell visually? It looks the same as the one I already have on there. The parts store didn't have a wells one so they got in some other brand and it looks identical to the one I already have in there. I must have had it at tdc exhaust yesterday. As for the performance. I don't notice much more low end power but the top end is much better, I could drive it up to 7000 rpms in both first and second before it stopped reving. I didn't stay ther for long as I don't wanna blow anything up. The tip that helped me out the most was the wiggling of the rocker arms. That's one I won't soon forget. I'll be archiving the advice I got for this on my web site and posting the pictures I got too. I'll pass on the link when its up. Once again thanks. |
