ordered a set of Precision Super Strength drive shaft universals through RockAuto,, pleasantly surprised when the Precision box that they came in was also marked Federal Mogul and made in the USA

Sometimes with the precision 246 U joints I find that they are a snug fit on the bearing cap retainer rings (which is a good thing..) sometimes you need to file a bit on the inner part of the driveshaft ears (not on the circular part that you press the bearing caps through, but on the 2 1/8 dimension ) to get the bearing cup retaining rings to fit /seat correctly.

Good Stuff..

Greg

Probably a 7260 joint John. :D

For the most part Mopar has only used 3. 7260, 7290, and 1350.

Somewhere online there is a page with all the cross-over numbers. I used to have it bookmarked, but lost it.

Greg, Precision is about the only joint I ever had to do that with. Their dimensions seem just a tick off.
