Hey, Dan, just wanted your opinion on these.

tail light covers are stupid for safety reasons right?

It's insane how some people disregard others personal safety to make a fashion statement.

I'm trying to talk my nephew out of tinting the tail lights on his '94 Audi S4.

Yes. People spoil everything.

for some reason the federal gov has a standard light range . Your government can throw any demand out there and think it' knows best but even the DOT doesn't know half of the break down of human fightings.

Hey, Dan, just wanted your opinion on these. http://www.modernparts.com/userdocs/pro ... _Chevy.jpg I saw some of these on a mid 90's Ford Ranger earlier today and realized black tail light covers are stupid for safety reasons right? I couldn't hardly see the guys brake lights in the day! might be brighter at night but still diminished .They have to diminish taillight intensity and can not be legal? This is absolutely ludicrous how anyone can install something like this. It's insane how some people disregard others personal safety to make a fashion statement. I work for a company that safety does not predate production but safety negates promotions for production so I apply this to my every day productivity.

reminds me of a truck in wyoming . it was a white F250, 99or so body style. had white tail light covers. i could hardly see his lights comeon. im sure it would be better at night, but still that doesnt make it any more legal from a visibility point of view

I wouldn't do it. Honestly, I did think about doing it on my ES300 because it would look neet. But around here? No way. I'm trying to talk my nephew out of tinting the tail lights on his '94 Audi S4.

Quote: Yes. People spoil everything. Lulz Is there any limit on brightness? I've seen some brake lights in traffic at night that are as bad as looking into headlights. Sucks in stop and go traffic. Almost as bad as the rear fog light some cars have.

I know this is old but in my work place we have fought for extra lighting in the external yard area where numerous trucks pass. Our shop enginneers have run light meters through these zones that we feel need more lighting,,, and for some reason the federal gov has a standard light range . Your government can throw any demand out there and think it' knows best but even the DOT doesn't know half of the break down of human fightings.
