Problem after problem. I decided to install my 4bbl,and HEI this weekend. After pulling the manifolds(and finding 3 broken studs),and getting the 4bbl together I find out my dist. is bad,im not getting any signal from it,and no spark. I am now ordering a new one from OCPNW. My question is: Will I be able to drive around without doing the HEI swap, while I wait for my new dist to come in? I am wondering if the truck will still drive ok with the 4bbl,and the LB computer still controlling the timing? I only have a 4 mile commute each way to school, and all on back roads no major highways. This is not permanent, I just need to be able to drive my truck to school until I get the new dist. Thanks |

Just be sure your base timing is set at 16 BTDC and the vacuum hose to the computer gets a manifold/non-ported vacuum feed. |
