As I look through member builds, I see lots of those nice ARP studs and brass nuts holding manifolds on. I'm about to stick my intakes back on...does anyone have a stock number or numbers or specs for me to follow without going through all my dirty hardware ?  I need to replace the studs that hold the intake and stock exhaust manifolds together as well...I'm still waiting for my remflex gaskets, so I have some time to get on this stuff.... Cheers! It's actually Dorman brand not ARP that has the studs and brass nuts...... I just ordered a set from our local auto parts. |

About $17-23 at the orange bins gets you what you need...I just ordered a set from our local auto parts. ARP for head studs, flywheel bolts, clutch cover bolts, etc...is worth the piece of mind. -D.Idiot |

Thanks guys...a point in the right direction is all I needed. Found the Dorman nut part on the forum (849-001, 680-001 for pkg of 25) and the studs at a local shop (from the specs on the silver seal link) http://www.silver-seal.com/c=1w9hiW9IYQ ... x-188.html I went to McMaster for expanding nuts for the ends (same principle as original compression nuts, only they expand because nut technology is better now) Any opinions on grinding my choke stove off the manifold? If I do use an automatic choke, I'll run it off coolant temp, but I plan to stick with the manual choke. Flounderguts |

When using the RemFlex gasket I use 2" Dorman studs instead of the stock shorter studs since the gasket is a little thicker. |
