I have a 1980 Volare "Duster" with no engine, it originally had a slant six. I have a 225 slant six from a '72 Dart, will this bolt in with no problems? The Dart had a manual tranny, the Volare has an auto trans. Thanks! |

Wes, I can't think of any swap-over issues - you're set. The crank and such is all compatible if you're going to an automatic. Drop it in and go! I guess you might want to swap over the ignition/distributor from the '80, or get an electronic system going. Lou |

Thanks Lou!  Yes, this car will keep its auto trans. I think some of the '80 Volare Duster's ignition wiring is missing, but no big deal. It'll be electronic ignition like my '78 Volare. I still need to get a cylinder head rebuilt for it though.Thanks for your input!
