Looks like my rear is down a bit but I dont know how to check if the rear is too low or not and if I need to replace the springs.
Can anyone enlighten me on how this check is done?
If its low can I add a extra spring or do I need to replace the entire leaf spring setup?
Thanks Guys!
John

The rear should be slightly higher than the front. The car's nearly half a century old and almost certainly needs new springs. They're inexpensive enough that it's most cost-effective to install a whole new stack rather than trying to prop up a sagged-out old stack with an extra leaf. Get 5-leaf items from ESPO, www.espo.com . You'll have to call them up; they don't list out the rear springs on their site, but they have them.

If you're frugal, you could just lower the front................

will the 4door use different springs than a 2door?

No difference between 4-door and 2-door. Summit has zero knowledge of A-bodies or springs; they are a sales house. ESPO knows their shìt. Call up and ask for 5-leaf springs for your '63 Dart and you'll be done on the phone in five minutes.

If you have an extra main leaf, cut the eyes off and install it as the second leaf in the "stack", doing that will raise the car and if you clamp the front, it will stiffin up the front secions for better torque control.
