Trying to help a friend here,He has a 225 Super 6 engine installed, with the original, hopelessly plugged up 170 unit. I know SS Dan had some good posts on the 60-62 cars, but I don't know if the 66 will be the same. Thanks in advance. |

I have used stock '63-72 A-body radiators in that era car with only small mods to the 67-up units. I have also used AFCO universal radiators with success on more than one car. The 80100N is a good option, for use with universal hoses and a straight out waterneck as used on the 89-up SB mopar V8. Howe, Griffin, and others have versions close to this. Lou |

If you want a super premium new radiator, follow my links in the threads you've already seen (see here ) but specify a radiator for a '66 Dart instead of a '62 Lancer. You'll probably have to send in your original so the new radiator can be made to proper dimensions, and it would be smart to specify a full-width core as originally installed on '66s with A/C, heavy-duty cooling, or V8 engines (the basic \6 equipment was a 19" core and an extra-wide driver's side bracket, which allowed Chrysler to save a few pennies per car). |

Thanks Lou & Dan, We'll probly go for a used rad, He's on a limited budget. The car has some other problems that need attention, like the single circuit brakes. |

A F-Body radiator will fit. You do need to redrill the lower mounting holes. If you use a 22" wide radiator you will need to use the upper radiator hose for an air conditioned F-Body, the lower hose would be the same as you are using now. A 19" wide radiator would use the same upper and lower hoses that you have now. |
