Hi all I am new to forum and was given a 87 d150 with a slant 6 and 1bbl carb with 89k. Was a military vehicle. Well the head blew and some kids put it back together. The carb had issues as far float bowl which i fixed. Problem is i did not mark wiring, may not have been right anyways. The carb has the bowl soleniod wire, feedback wires green and orange, and the fast idle wires red and black. The harness connecters for the feed back are missing. The other for idle and bowl is there but one wire came off. Red I think.
The colors on both sides do not match obviously. Anyone have info on wiring for the carb? What gets voltage? etc. Its got a new choke thermostat. I can send pics tomorrow if needed.

Or a pic of your 1945 feedback may help.

Harness wires are 2 green(one is hot), 1 blue, 1 blue/red, 1 white/red, and 1 that looks as if it would connect to a elec choke.

Thanks, Gary.

Welcome on the board. Carburetor operation and repair manuals and links to training movies and carb repair/modification threads are posted here for free download. Check if the 1945 material there will get you in the right direction.

You really do need the factory service manual. Not hard to get; see this thread.

Thank you Dan. I end'd up goping to the pick n pull and found a 87 dodge ram. It had a v8 and the same carb i bought to replace the 1 barrel. so I wrote down a diagram. Next I will do search if it is really worth replaceing the 1945 with a 318 2 barrel. Thanks. Gary
