called the Fel Pro Tech line to get the manufacturers numbers on their 791861 standard head gasket.

compressed gasket thickness .036
free gasket thickness .041
fire ring diameter 3.520

They are pretty close. I measure slightly different numbers:

0.033-0.035" compressed thickness (at 85-90 ft-lbs bolt torque)
3.500-3.510" ID

Yes, I have measured this on several motors/gaskets.

I'm so stupid. Should have measured old gasket. But the id, I measured 3.5240 on this new one

My measurements have gone from the early 90s to maybe 5 yrs ago, so there could be minor changes on the newer gaskets.
