It's running so badly it's hard to tell if it is really the cam or just poorly tuned.

Looks like 2-1/2" to me.

Well, none of these 4-stroke cycle engines work worth a d@mn without a cam so... :D

The way it's popping and misfiring it needs help regardless of which camshaft it has. When I had a big cam in a low compression ratio 225 it had a pretty good lope to the idle, but it didn't pop out the exhaust like that.
