Hey guys, I need a little help identifying this carb for rebuilding purposes. I bought a super six slant from a guy on craig's list (I think it was out of a Dart). I plan on just taking the super six parts and replacing my 1 barrel set up I'm currently running. The ID tag is missing so I took pictures of any and all writing I could find on the carb. If you guys could help me figure what model this is and the best place to buy a rebuild kit for it, I'd greatly appreciate it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [/img]

It's a 1971 to 1976 (or a '70 California model) Carter BBD originally from a 318 engine. None of the numbers on the carb can identify it more specifically than that -- exact ID is possible only with the tag number. |

How should I go about selecting a rebuild kit? Go for the one that covers the most years between 71-76 on a 318? This one seems to cover a lot of models but only 71-73 on 318s http://www.carburetor-parts.com/Carter_ ... p/4072.htm Thanks for all your help |

Get a kit from www.daytonaparts.com ; call them up and order a kit for a Carter BBD tag number 6150 and you'll get the right kit. |

The gaskets can look alike with slight differences. Keep the old ones to match up the new ones. |
