Is it possible that Edelbrock is no longer making there IAS shocks. I have searched a couple sites trying to find a good deal and two sites say the 34413 classics for our a-body rears are discontinued, and summit and jegs say back ordered or out of stock. I just need the rear shocks I got the fronts already from summit on ebay with a buy it now price of $111.00 for the pair shipped to me. But when I looked at there website they said none avalible.

Yes I Heard that the line has been dropped by Edelbrock. There may be some old stock out there.

That's my understanding. I had intended to get a set of the Edelbrocks as well, but when word got around that they were being discontinued, I went for a pair of Bilsteins for the front of my Swinger.

They cost significantly more, but I LOVE the Bils.

Can't believe they dropped those. Should have bought another set or two... Will look at Bils.

I THINK I read somewhere, that qa1 took over the edelbrock shock stuff?

Not sure...but I think it was qa1, or eibach???

I never thought they would drop the line either. Now I have to find some more obsolete crap for my car. Hopefully I can find the rears to match my fronts. :(

Summit shows their suggested replacement was a QA1 shock. But I don't know that its the same.

Going to NHRA tomorrow I will ask at the trailer. I do believe QA1 was making them all along.

QA1 Acquires Edelbrock’s Suspension Line

Looking at the QA1 on-line application chart it doesn't look like they have a steel bodied Stocker-Star shock for our cars. I think it's worth a call to QA1 verify this as it seems the Edelbrock shocks would fall into this category. I have run the aluminum single-adjustable shocks quite happily with 1.04" torsion bars on the street, but they are twice the money of the Edelbrock shocks.

I just got off the phone with the QA1 tech guy and he said they took over all edelbrock suspension products but not there shocks and struts. We was unclear if they would be getting it in the future or if it was going to another company. Apparently was still in the works.

QA1 suggested I try there TN901 or TS901 for street/autox. The none adjustable shock price is not to far off from the Edelbrock ias. But the adjustable one go up in price quickly.
Should I try the none adjustable ones or does any one have suggestions for a good budget freindly street/ corner carving shock.

Thats odd I just bought read eddy ias for my rear no more than a month or two ago maybe? I bought the fronts a month or two before that. Purchased both pairs from summit.

I wonder who originally made the IAS shocks? I suspect they were a private label shock from a different company. If so, they may still be available under a different name.

Went to NHRA national event and Edelbrock wasn't there. Since 08 the manufactuer midway gets smaller and smaller. Sign of the times.

I must have lucked out on the timing. I ordered from Summit and got the red rears to match the red fronts just before Thanksgiving. The IAS shocks are awesome on my heavy 74 Dart Swinger. I didn't think they would make that much difference. Nice stance and very solid! The car is a blast to drive.
Running 6 leaf rears, 1" sway bar up front and V8 torsion bars.
