Largely depends on it's condition, and your surrounding area... lot's of guys (myself included) have given these things away for whatever reason. slant sixes are, for the most part, plentiful and cheap.

Most of the units I see go for around $100.

Were you planning on swapping a different engine into your vehicle, or just unloading the whole thing?

If you are interested in swapping out the whole drivetrain, you may also want to look into troubleshooting and upgrading the engine in your truck. Slant sixes are not built as powerhouses out of the box, but they respond VERY well to even minor upgrades.

Do you have emissions or inspections tests where you live?

How much weight are you planning to pull?

Pulling a car and trailer=get a 3/4 ton. You need the extra braking and heavier suspension. You need a heavy enough rear too. What rear do you have? 3 speed? Auto? You would probably want a 727 if you have an auto.

Weight of the trailer+the car.

Pulling over hills or mountains?

Slants have been used in D600's in the past. 4 speed+2 speed rear. Not comfy, not fast, not economical either.

IF you have good trailer brakes and a good controller a half ton will pull a trailer very well.

I pulled my Valiant all over the free world with a Dakota ferchrissakes.
