OK here is a question (actually on a Dodge 318), how do I set the timing if I can not find a timing mark on the harmonic balancer? Is it possible that the timing is so far off that I am not seeing the mark? |

I was afraid of that. Guess I will order up a new one. Luckily the engine is late model so it is easy to find parts. |

It also could have jumped time because of worn timing set. |

Well it turns out that my wires are not in the right positions. Problem is I can not identify number one on the distributor. I am going to have to try get the motor to TDC (always an iffy task) and go from there. |
