| Post subject: | Who's the nipple expert around here? |
Can anybody give me part numbers (Dorman?) for the by-pass and heater hose nipples on the head (near the thermostat housing)? The ones on the head I'm working on are pretty far gone. Thanks. |

Not knowing what npt nipple sizing or any other details i have scrolled toDorman underhood / cooling-heating page 11. Thats the start of the steel Pipe Nipples... Tried to direct link it but couldnt get it to work...Thanks. Maybe someone with the actual knowledge of the sizes will chime in... |

McMaster-Carr to the rescue again. Choose hose ID 5/8" and pick brass, bronze, or stainless. I am about 98% sure the thread size is 1/2" NPT. |

Ummm dan sense I dont read japanes,chinese, thia, what is the writing in you sig? Inquiring minds wanna know... and my keys dont look anything like that for a quick DuckDuckGo search...lol ( no i dont use google, nor do i run windows, I like my Linux Mint, or my Mac Mini)

It's Japanese. It transliterates as "Ichi-go, ichi-eh", and translates as "one time, one place". Philosophically, it means nobody ever noticed a time except at a place, or a place except at a time. Figuratively, it means to be mindful and grateful for each moment, because it will only ever come once. That is, even if you get all the same people in the same place doing the same thing tomorrow as today, it still won't be the same.

Back to Nipple sizes, I plugged all of those nipples on our race car and they were 3/8" pipe (NPT) size thread. |
