Is it possible to put a tach on my 64 Dart with a 225 slant six? |

Yes, almost any tach will work. Just have to figure out where to mount it. Steering column works pretty well on that car. Lou |

And make sure the tach is set for 6 cyl i nstead of 8. (usually some sort of 3 position switch either on the back or under the outer shell). The Old Sun Super Tach and the Super Tach II had a little sweep type lever recessed in the rear and the middle setting is for 6 cyl. |

Sounds good, been wanting a tach. Nothing fancy or too big just one to see the RPM's of the 225 as it roars along. Thanks for the info...........,. |

You can buy those tachs mentioned above at many parts stores. Advance is a big chain that sells them. I have the mini tach in 2 of my cars. One tach is 23 yrs old and works perfectly except for the light. Lou |

I used a tach from a 1962 Mexican Acapulco Valiant. It was set for a slant six. Pretty cool looking. Maybe a little big in size. |

Here is the picture of the mexican slant tach. I think it was also used in 63 and 64 mexican cars as well. The font for the numbers matches my 1960 valiant gauges nicely.
