My 4 door 1968 has a tow package that gives it the 10inch brakes. One of the rear backing plates on the 7 1/4 with 3.35 gears, has a badly worn
"pad" that the brake shoe slides on.

Since it is hard to find 1968 Darts w the 10 inch brakes (for 6 or v8 ), would there be other Mopar models with 7 1/4 rear that I could look for to get another backing plate? The backing plate has 4 mounting holes to bolt it to the axle flange. I see the 7 1/4 on other mid size later mopars but I am not sure if they would "carryover".

I usually arc weld-up and grind flat the worn spot. Ends-up better then new, seeing that the weld is a lot harder then the original stamped steel.
