I have a 70' /6 . What is the right pcv grommet for the plastic pvc valve? Also what size is the hole in the valve cover? Has anyone used the aftermarket chrome pcv valve that looks like a breather? |

Using generic parts (like the "one size fits none properly" chrome thing you've seen) usually makes it harder to get the engine running well. For best results and least hassle, use the PCV valve correct for the application; the best one comes from Chrysler as part number 5175 351AA. The Chrysler-type PCV valve grommet is readily available in the aftermarket (Dorman, HELP, Motormite, etc.) and there is only one size of it; if you want the genuine article it is Chrysler part number 3751 510. If you also need the larger grommet for the breather (at the rear of the valve cover), that is part number 2946 079. |

I was hoping you'd answer my post Dan! I had a feeling the chrome ones were crap. My breather grommet is fine but my job lists the breather grommet as the pcv grommet and I knew that was wrong! My current pcv is due for a change and the grommet is as hard as a rock. |
