My beautiful 82 Dodge D-150. I know a little bit about this truck, where is was made its got a 225 with a three speed automatic. Tops out about 80 and what not. The general point is i'd like to restore this truck as an FFA restoration project, And i have no idea where to start. Any ideas? |

Looks like a good truck that does not need much work. What is the upholstery like ? |

I did not see any photos of the interior. In south Texas the sun is hard on the interior. My '78 GMC needs pretty much everything except a seat. Prices at LMC are spendy, but most is avaiiable. Not sure if Dodge has as much aftermarket support as Ford and Chevy. Now and then I see a truck like your Dodge that is very clean, they often aren't too bad on the body. FFA is a good organization to be a part of. |

Nice looking truck. You will find lots of slant sixers are right here in Oregon. Looks like you have and good project on your hands. Keep us posted as you get into it. I live just outside Portland, but get to all 48 states on my job. Might be able to lend a hand, if you find that special part, but it's too far away. |

Nice truck! Looks to be fairly straight. Some of those things (tailgate, headlight bezel with turn signal) can be found at local pick n pull or u pull it yards. In the portland south pick n pull yard (the one yard i go to a lot) has had many 1st gens that i have pulled things off of for my own truck. There isnt a very big after market for old dodge trucks which really sucks but just looking around on the internet doesnt hurt. I know a lot of people dont like ebay but ive seen many parts for our trucks on there. Just remember that anything from an 81' to 93' dodge truck or ramcharger will fit. If you need help finding parts let me know and i can search some yards. Not knowing where exactly in oregon you live i cant point you to anything specific. Ill send you a pm (private message) with a website that has a lot of diy things for first gens that can help fix your truck. |
