A new exhaust manifold that I have recently picked does not have the same vacuum tube as my old one. This vacuum tube was connected to the throttle body on on the BBS. Is this needed? Does it effect the high speed circuit or? I have everything reassembled and running with a plug in the throttle body to seal the vacuum leak. Thoughts...what am I missing? :?

Thanks

"Canadian" is the key. See here. With today's gasoline formulations this system is no longer needed, and it causes (or aggravates) hot start/hot idle issues. Put a brass adaptor fitting (invert-flare threaded x hose barb) in the carburetor port presently occupied by the metal pipe running from the exhaust manifold. Run the rubber hose directly from the fitting on the underside of the air cleaner to the new brass fitting.

As always.... you are the man, Dan! Thanks

Hope to see a response on my next "confused" post :!:
