My battery (new premium Sears battery) keeps going flat. The battery is not being charged by the alternator. Installed new voltage regulator and alternator. The two field wires (blue, green) have spade terminals and could be connected two ways. I assume that it doesn't matter which way. I connected the green wire to the lowest connector (furterest from the battery connection on the alternator.) I tested the continuity of the blue and green wires from the alternator to the voltage regulator. They were okay. I could not get a good continuity test on the black wire from the battery terminal of the alternator to the positive cable on the battery. The ammeter does not work. No change no matter what electrical item is on. What should I do next?
