Soup up that old slant, maybe even put a turbo on her, and you'll be running with the v-8s easy.

Oops, just read your previous post regarding the head gasket. In that case I can't help you.

huh?
lol no this is my homemade 84 b150 with 4x4 and its lifted the whole 10 yards with tvs ,bed ,it has a toilet a fridge a sink and a outside shower. once this things loaded up 8 ppl all our stuff it will only do about 50 barely on the highway 35-40 uphill.. it would cost me more to build it up. much rather a v8.....too much weight for the 6 .does 0-50 in about 10 minutes haha.think ill find a nice little dart for the 6

V-8 and slant six vans use the same k-frame. You just have to get the correct motor mounts to put the V-8 engine you want in the van. The 318s and 360s share one side, but the mount on the other side is different. Your K-frame should work fine so long as you get the correct van 318 motor mounts.

Slant six to v-8 swaps are a big ordeal to get done right, and you have the added complexity of your van having an aftermarket 4x4 conversion. If possible, it would be much easier to rebuild the 225 and build it for a 4x4 van than to do the v-8 swap right. However, if you are set on doing the V-8 swap, probably the most difficult part will be finding the correct transmission that will hook up to your 4wd system.

beyond this advice, I know nothing.
