Post subject:  sealing dutra to exhaust pipe connection

is the Remflex RF6006 the one to use on the Dutra ex manifold flange to down pipe connector when using Dutra Duals?
I currently have a paper over perforated steel gaskets in there and with the little bit of running the engine in, I can see it huffing out at the 12:00 position.

thanks

Are you running 2 seperate exhaust "head pipes" or a welded together "Y" pipe?
The reason I ask is that I have seen sealing problems with welded together "Y" pipes... seems like the flange face alignment is hard to get perfect with those so it's hard to put even pressure on the gasket(s).

two separate head pipes,,

the gaskets I have in there now are new but are pretty thin,
I am not currently in a position to measure the bolt hole spacing on the flanges,, so asking if they are spaced at 3 1/2 inches and would then match to the RF6006?

took the manifolds apart, and the rear one that was leaking at 12:00 did have a blown gasket...

checked the both faces with a straight edge,, the Dutra manifold is flat,, the flange on the pipe,,is not,, does have a bow in it,, not much,, would never see it without the assist of a straight edge,,,but right at 12:00
cleaned it up a bit and installed the Remflex RF6006,, they match the mounting bolt hole spacing but are 2 1/4 in pipe diameter, the Dutra's are 2 1/8
also on the Remflex web site the RF6006 photo shows one gasket in the package,, but there are two.
