Post subject: | Re-Jetting New Holley Slant 6 Carbs Sold On Ebay |
Got one of those ebay specials, the slant six two barrels for (I believe) a 77 slant six. Way too lean for my setup as is. Anyone try re-jetting them? I took it apart to have a look, it's similar to a BBD, but one main jet is just an undrilled jet, and the other has a rod with spring in it. Two smaller jets are #267. Would like to richen up things up at idle, part throttle and up top. Anyone fiddle with these things, or come up with some tuning and jetting options??? A source for rods and such??? Thanks! |

Do they have metering rods? AFAIK a Holley jet is a Holley jet. I've had one of a 318 apart. No rods. |

No they don't, just jets. Drilling them out the only options?? |

There are two sizes of Holley jet; the 2280 takes the small ones (if I'm not mistaken I think they're called "140 series" jets). Walker has a full range of them. |
