Post subject: | HELP BBS carb spring has sprung..... |
My BBS carb looked like it was slightly leaking where the fuel line adaptor fitting goes into the carb. So I was going to reseal it (better I hope) and adjust the float level. I took the carb top off and lifted it away. As I lifted, the accelerator pump came off with the top. Then it dropped out. The accelerator pump spring has sprung somewhere and I can't find it. So I need the dimensions of this spring ( length, number of coils, wire diameter) so I can rewind another spring. Tanks |

And then I heard a small metallic DINK sound as I put the accelerator plunger back in...... Sure enough, I popped out the ball bearing check valve.... ![]() Luckily I had 1 ball bearing left in my old carb kit (I keep the old balls just in case...) Version 2 of the spring (Version 1 seemed a little long, so I snipped off a few coils) seems to be doing the trick. ![]() And the fuel inlet seems to be staying dry too... ![]() |
