Post subject:  quick help on the super six

Looking at a 69 Dart that has what is supposed to have a later model slant installed that he termed a super six. I understand the big difference is the 2 barrel carb and larger exhaust manifold/exhaust system. Are there other significant differences? Can you tell by looking at one easily?

Thanks, George in Tallahassee

Nope. The two barrel carb and exhaust diameter are the main difference. Of course, by the time the "Super Six" (not to be confused with the "Super 225", the name used on Plymouth 225 engines in the 60s) was installed, the slant six had an improved camshaft in all engines. So, if it IS a later motor with a Super Six, you will get the two barrel carb upgrade as well as a better cam than the stock 1969 cam.

In a sense... no! Other than some sweet air cleaner graphics and the 2bbl intake/carb it's the same. If the intake is aftermarket it's normally pretty easy to spot.
