A buddy of mine told me about doing this to static lower my '73 Dart in the rear...
What's the worst that could happen? Just wanna find out before further thoughts...

I have seen a few friends who have done the flip and they never had any issues, it really doesn't make a big diffrence an 1" I believe. How ever one friend had some bad vibes in his drive shaft which he changed out and problem was solved.
So when ever you change the suspension from stock make sure you check your geometry and suspension angles or you may have premature failure of parts. [/img]

You have to flip them and swap them side for side.

You will need to do a little drilling

I did it sometime in the last century ,,,,,no ill effects.

How many inches do you think it was lowered by doing this?

The left and right brackets are the same. Problem is the top and bottom bolt hole spacing is different so you either move the studs in the bracket or oval the holes in the chassis. I used a die grinder to oval the holes in the chassis on my '66 Dart. On my '66 Barracuda I added material to the spring hanger and drilled higher spring eye holes so that I had two ride height positions.

You can buy new hangers with the second eye bolt hole from Firm Feel. Then you don't need to oval out the holes in the sheet metal.
