I was gently prying on my new exhaust and the linkage adjuster bolt on the 67 darts floor shift linkage because the cincher bolt that lets you adjust the throw of the floor shift was hitting the top if my exhaust when I dropped into 2nd. So i pried between the two for only wanting 1/2" of gap. Now I have lost the reverse and neutral. It goes into park and I can feel it lock as I roll forward a bit. It will start in the park but when I shift down to rev it starts going forward. There wasn't any loud noise or snapping sound. Did I break or damage a major item or component?

Well we finally got to the problem I broke the shifter rod hole inside the housing. Didn't take a lot of pressure to snap the alum. My next question..I have the Aussie 4bbl intake (long) and wondered if anyone has found a pressure rod or lokar kit that works with this set up. I am currently running a holley on it and the stock rod isn't even close to fitting. Thanks again.
